Lamar is always looking for seasoned Media Sales professionals.

This is a DREAM sales position – not an easy sales position, but a true opportunity to be rewarded well for meeting high activity and result expectation.

Lamar is one of the nation’s largest outdoor advertising companies. Our Portland office helps businesses by putting their message in front of more people, more often than any other media, with ads on TriMet buses, light rail, bus stop shelters and benches.

As a sales consultant, your primary responsibility will be new business development through prospecting, cold calling, needs assessments, presentations, closing new business and managing the deal through to completion.

Responsibilities:

• Specialize in generating new business.
• Utilize needs based selling skills to develop client specific advertising solutions.
• Learn and use concentrated questioning skills to uncover our customers real challenges and opportunities.
• Perform presentations to business owners, advertising agencies and other decision makers.
• Actively research competitors pricing, promotions, postion and customers.
• Contract fulfillment: complete all paperwork, oversee ad development, production and installation, follow up to client by getting and delivering pictures and completion report.
• Ongoing customer service with accounts including helping our admin team with any collection issues.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to provide evidence of a proven sales track record
• 1 to 3 years of outside B2B sales experience
• Experience specializing in new business development
• College degree strongly preferred.

Salary plus residual commissions – Virtually no direct competition – Sell a product that is a great value and truly works for your clients. But you must have above average drive, work habits and successful experience in new business development.
